eBARRITO : A Store Made of Cardboard

Designer : Francesca Signori in Milan

“eBARRITO is a green-thinking brand that specializes in bags and leather accessories with100% Italian quality – its ecological integrity extends right through – even to how its sales outlets are built! They are made from specially carved and shaped cardboard.  The new eBARRITO stores consist of modular, double-pressed cardboard walls equipped with wavy-style shelving – an  effect achieved with interlocking tubular sections and modular lamps resembling bird-cages.

A fresh new ethical style with a strong visual impact created by the designer Francesca Signori for the Milan-based brand.

eBARRITO is full of hope for the future –  its new ethical approach and world made up of perceptions and sensations.”

Felt + Fabric = Wall Art @ New York Design Week

Permira office interior : London, England

Anne Kyyrö Quinn studio creates pieces of art using natural fabrics with bold colours, rich textures, and striking motifs.  They have pioneered a new form of interior textiles based on three-dimensional structure rather than smooth surface ornamentation. Their products are based on a portfolio of eighteen core designs inspired by organic shapes and expressed with Scandinavian simplicity. Whether crafted into cushions, throws, table runners, wall panels or blinds, each design has a tactile feel that appeals to the eye as well as to the hand. As we merge twenty-first century design with textures inspired by the natural world, our products bridge the gulf between the urban interior and the natural landscape, and bring an elegant, unassuming beauty into everyday life.

In recent news:

An expert group of editors from the globe’s most esteemed design magazines voted Saturday for their favorite exhibitors and products at this year’s 21st annual International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York. Honored at the ICFF Exhibitors Reception, 16 lucky companies took home the 2009 ICFF Editors Awards. Anne Kyyrö Quinn studio won in the textile division.
